It ranked the 50 largest U.S. airports on the basis of reliability, value, convenience, and TSA (security) lines. The goal of this list is to present the nation’s best and worst airports. Such rankings are made by simply looking at airport brochures, so here is VideoAge’s take for those entertainment executives who are not frequent flyers. LAX, the Los Angeles airport, is definitely not the third best as indicated by the WSJ (at least not after the recent remodeling). Similarly, Atlanta (ATL) should not be fourth since a little drizzle has been known to cause two-hour delays. On the other hand, Miami (MIA) should be well above its placement at 14 because it is easier to navigate and well-connected internationally. Finally, New York City (JFK) and Newark (EWR) are too generously ranked as numbers 19 and 20, respectively, considering the constant hardships they create to passengers. L.A.
