The deal gives FilmRise worldwide digital distribution rights to all five seasons of World’s Wildest Police Videos, hosted by John Bunnell, two spin-off specials, and five other law enforcement genre television programs. Studiocanal and Sunnymarch unveiled new six-part drama series How to Stop Time. The series is based on Matt Haig’s bestselling novel of the same name and will star Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead role as Tom Hazard. The film will shoot in London and Europe starting in 2024. All3Media International inked new sales in Canada for the U.K., U.S., and Australian finished versions of psychological reality series The Traitors. Bell Media acquired the rights in Canada to Studio Lambert’s U.S. and U.K. versions, and Endemol Shine’s Australian version, for premium streaming service Crave. Turkey’s Global Agency licensed Blind Duets in Vietnam. The 13-episode show, produced by MEGA GS Communications, premiered on May 6 on Vinh Long TV. Plus, the company launched its new game show Match the Family in Cannes. The show is an original Global Agency format, created by Izzet Pinto, challenging two teams of three players to use intelligence and quick wits to identify a person’s family members. L.A.-based Vision Films acquired the entire 85+ feature film library from Paul Hertzberg’s CineTel Films. The purchase of the CineTel inventory is Vision’s first foray into proprietary titles for global sales. Red Arrow Studios International signed a deal with Seven Network Australia for its new format Stranded on Honeymoon Island. Endemol Shine Australia is confirmed to produce the new adventure-dating format, in which couples matched by experts are marooned on a deserted island and left to fend for themselves for three weeks. Spanish-language streaming service ViX signed an exclusive creative deal with screenwriters Esther Feldman (El Dragón, Lalola, Los Exitosos Pells) and Francisco Franco Alba (Locas de Amor, El Hotel de los Secretos, La Usurpadora). Under the multiyear agreement, Feldman and Alba will develop original ideas and adaptations for projects premiering on ViX. Feldman created the upcoming ViX series Isla Brava.
