Providing Passpoint subscriptions to passengers would allow passengers to at least skip the hassle of manually logging in on a flight. Instead, passengers would be automatically authenticated when walking onto the aircraft and immediately connected to a secure connection. Wi-Fi certified Passpoint is a broadband industry-wide solution that streamlines Wi-Fi access and eliminates the need for users to find and authenticate a network each time they connect. Once the Wi-Fi settings are enabled on a device, users can check the Passpoint box in the Advanced or More options section.
