We all agree that New Jersey’s Newark (EWR) is the worst, and New York’s JFK is the second- worst. However, we don’t believe Miami (MIA) deserves to be 17th on the list — it should at least be ninth. Conversely, Los Angeles (LAX) should rank 17th and Atlanta (ATL) should be on par with JFK at 19. ATL and LAX rank seven and nine, respectively. Connecting in Atlanta can be a nightmare, especially if a few drops of rain have fallen. With take-offs spaced at two-minute intervals, a simple one-minute delay (to account for the light rain) for each take-off translates into delays of one hour or more.
